I've been trying to talk to various EB game employees if they have any news of the LE guide, and all of them say "oh no new news on that yet, sorry".
"Can I at least preorder?"

"Sorry don't have a SKU for that!"

;___;

How ya doing, buddy?

God, I'm such a nerd. I actually wrote out a "check list" of stuff to do prior to the release of the game and on release day.

Such things include:

1) Call in vacation time for November 1,2,3, and 6th from work.
2) Make sure there is enough gas in car (LOL)
3) Make sure to bring $100 cash, just incase my Visa decides to fuck up that day.
4) BRING THE FUCKING PREORDER RECEIPT
5) Record the FFXII OST on cassette tape (my car doesn't have CD player, yeah it sucks).

53 more days~~~.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

What's pretty bad is I preordered two other games, see: VP2 and Okami, for the sole purpose of seeing how the preorder system works and what I can expect come D-day. I guess I'm just that nervous. Plus I guess the feeling of preordering and being one of the first few in line is a pretty good feeling, so why not do that 3 times over with the biggest one ending with FFXII?
And some of the EB games clerks are assholes.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Gamestop does not exist in Canada.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I like how I should have given my drivers license for them to see my name CORRECTLY. I mean, how hard is it to spell a name of HEBREW origin? I like how my VP2 preorder has my name spelt as "Isick". Good god. I didn't look at the receipt until I got home. The FFXII isn't as bad, but it's still a wrong spelling.

This may be a ....stupid question. I'm guessing it's SqaureEnix USA that has only shipped you the tin box for display purposes and not the actual DVD casing with the game inside right?

NEWSFLASH: ALL FFXII COPIES FROM EB GAMES AND GAME STOP LOCATIONS HAVE BEEN STOLEN!

Well actually what I wanted to know if for 100% sure that the inner DVD cover will have the exact same as the nice gold tin one. Probably will, me thinks.

Also, does anyone have a better resolution pic of the LE cover? The only one I've seen so far is that rather smaller size one and I can't make out all the details.

I mean, yeah I can see the picture fine, but having a bigger one would be nicer <3

I was speaking idiomatically.

Ah, I see it now, the plastic shell. What I originally thought was that there would still be the regular DVD jewel case with the LE logo and all that on the DVD cover INSIDE the Tin case, but that's basically putting a DVD case inside another case. .

I've never had any of these special boxes so I wouldn't know, at least for another 50 days or so.

Maybe for the US. Is this is also the case for Canada, then I better update my vacation time accordingly.

Thanks for letting us know. I'm the type that get's fed up pretty quickly and want to get it over with, but I guess the challenge is where the fun is at for this game, and that's what I'm going for. Hopefully I just hope I won't depend too much on the strategy guide.

I'm excited for the DS game too even though we have very little info on it. :x
Dude, no worries. I kept parading around my office shouting "49 MORE DAYS FOOS!" and they say for what, I just say vacation time. As for the NY October 11, 2006 as FFXII day, I guess that's just one day in history, not for every single October 11th for 20XX, right?

LOL, I declare that December 23rd will be Valkyrie Profile day. SHOW YOUR SUPPORT.

Furthermore, I keep a mood meter at work and tack it up on my office wall. It consists of a : ) a : ( and a : | face. Come d-day, I might just post up a colored printed poster from the color Xerox machine of the Judge. Hell, does anyone here have a nice picture of the Judge logo just by himself (no logo, no Final Fantasy?).

What the hell is "HOW TO FIGHT BACK". What, all the crowds that will be pushing you in the line to say, ZOMG ME FIRST ME FIRST ME FIRST.

I have to say, that official site isn't very impressive nor informative. If I were to not know of anything of the Final Fantasy games and only had access to this site and no other reviews, I probably wouldn't get it. I mean, it really doesn't give you much of anything. A few wallpapers and some notes and that's about it. Thank god for a whole abundance of fan sites ^__^.

That reminds me of only seeing 1 and only 1 TV commercial for Star Wars Episode 1 back in '99, which I am not saying there were not any more commercials. I mean, this movie was already geared for the fans (although new comers would be welcomed) so they really didn't need to know much to coax them to watch it, myself included. Why really bother wasting anymore advertising money on something already well marketed by its own means. I must admit though, seeing an FFXII commercial on TV while watching .... whatever I watch, the news maybe, would be pretty sweet and pump me up somemore.

heh, maybe putting up a TV commercial isn't such a bad idea anymore. It reinforces the message, and hype.

You can see all the Japanese and American commercials on the bonus disc of the FFXII, me thinks.

I've only seen one run of a FFX commercial with all the in game cutscenes, and of course I didn't know better at that time and thought all those were in- game play. I like how I wet my pants. Also, at that point I first also thought it was Final Fantasy "X" as in the letter. Shoot me.

So, 43 more days till Final Fantasy EX Eye Eye. This might have something to do with the Wii.

My thoughts exactly. I guess SquareEnix wouldn't be as jumpy on this since it would help raise the hype, almost a free advertising in a way.

I think the major "improvement" in the cover art justifies perhaps $5 more, then the extras such as the trailers and development footage would tack on the other $5. If this "Collectors Edition" was available through all stores and retail, then I probably wouldn't bother too much, however since it's limited in quantity, then I mind as well get my hands on it now then having to pay a ridiculous sum on Ebay, all which I could have avoided by just paying an extra $10. What is that, like a dinner for three at McDonalds, right?

I was talking about the LE Game, however, I do not have much information on the LE guide itself, lest even a SKU by my local EB Games.

Scenes cut due to the Japanaese rating board?. I mean, well, all Final Fantasies I've seen so far are T (teen) - rated, for the ages of 13 to 17, I think. What is this, PENELO COFFEE or something?
They might add some gore to it, this is war, after all.
I wish I could get happy about the 16:9 support, but I just have a regular TV, so 4:3 for me. =/
