Awful Library Books

I originally posted this link in my journal and talked about it on the radio show, but it needs to be disseminated to a larger audience because it's just so good. It's put together by a couple of librarians, dedicated to books that are either terribly outdated, or should never have existed at all. Here are some examples:

The pictures from this one are frightening. One commenter adds, "Some research learned that the book comes from the “Hurts of Childhood series”. Other promising titles are: For Your Own Good: A Child’s Book about Living in a Foster Home, It Won’t Last Forever: Living with a Depressed Parent. I wonder whether this last book ends with the parent being cured or with a suicide…"
