Wonder Woman had curves. Lindsey Lohan is built like a 12-year-old boy. ![]() ![]() Gross. Jam it back in, in the dark.

You know who I think would be the perfect Wonder Woman?
Catherine Zeta-Jones. ![]() Rumor has it they're considering Sandra Bullock for the role, which wouldn't be bad, but Catherine Zeta-Jones would be a much better choice, IMO. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Once you go ugly you never go back.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Fortunately she's always been beautiful. Princess Yellowteeth on the other hand...
![]() *SHUDDER* I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that picture pre-ugly?
I was speaking idiomatically. |
First of all, there is NO WAY you can follow your child around 24 hours a day and monitor everything they see, hear and read. It's just not possible. Period. Especially once they get older than, say, 12 and start doing things without constant parental supervision.
Secondly, unless some of you completely skipped over a very important developmental phase, you need to realize that there comes a time when almost all children rebel against authority. A lot of kids will do and believe the extreme opposite from whatever their parents have tried to teach them, because suddenly parents are idiots and everything they say must be challenged. Telling your daughter she's beautiful and that she doesn't have to be anorexic to be beautiful only works for a certain amount of time. After kids hit a certain age, they're going to be much more heavily influenced by their friends and the media than they are by anything their parents say. It's a sad day when that happens, so you really have to take advantage of every opportunity when they're small, because once they hit that magic 14, you're the village idiot in their minds. Also, this misconception about the way a woman's body is "supposed" to look is everywhere. You turn on the TV and everyone you see is a size 2. You stand in line at the grocery store and there on the covers of all the magazines are women with perfect faces and bodies. It's everywhere. Your kids are going to see it and be affected by it, unless you lock them up in the cellar. And that's a fact. Our society's unrealistic expectations with regard to women's bodies and shitty parenting are two entirely different subjects. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I think that if you went to a high school and interviewed all the girls, 97% of them would say that they view themselves as overweight and/or ugly.
Fortunately, many women (and maybe men - I don't really know since I'm not one) begin to accept their bodies and generally like themselves more as they mature. But almost all teenage girls carry in their hearts a self-loathing that can only come from the unattainable expectations set for them by the media. Most amazing jew boots |
I invite anyone who is arguing with me to raise a girl, then come back and tell me how much good their talks and constant encouragement did once their daughter hit 14.
And I never said you should stop trying. No matter what obstacles you face as a parent, it's your job in life to never stop encouraging them and trying to counteract the damage done to them by the media. But expecting any other outcome just isn't realistic. These are impressionable children, not mature adults. You can call these girls "stupid", but it's kinder and more accurate to call them "immature." The best you can do is try to comfort yourself in the knowledge that you tried your best to instill values and self-esteem in your child, and that as she grows and matures, the poison will work itself out of her system. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
I don't think Lucy Lawless is feminine enough. She has a very butch air about her that Wonder Woman definitely does not have. Plus, she's just too damn old.
Also, wtf is up with that cheek sucking face she's making in those pictures? Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I don't get it.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Aardark, he said SOMEONE. And someone does not include me or you. Now get the hell out of here.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
