I am kind of sad to see Dominic Moore go, but it was necessary we get a 3rd round pick since we gave that up for LaRaque.

Also I dont feel that Welch is going to reach his potential, so I am fine with him leaving. I wish we could have made one more trade for a stay at home d-man, but you cant always get what you want.

Well thats some pretty depressing news to start off the week. The local politicians kept on telling the public that an arena deal is "very close" but I now wonder how "close" they really were.

Why on Earth would they want to relocate to Kansas City. It is beyond me. Yeah 100% free arena, but good luck trying to have a decent fan base there.

If the Penguins win tonight they clinch a playoff spot for the first time in 4 years. It is most excellent to be thinking about playoff hockey once again.

And the Pens could possibly end up winning the division by the end of the season. I cant even remember the last time they won a division title. I am also enjoying the fact that ill never have to hear the words "rebuilding" for quite sometime.

Even though last nights performance from the pens was abysmal, there are some interesting facts to look at.

The Hurricanes lost their first 2 playoff games last year. One of those games being a 6-1 loss. And well the won the cup.

Another thing is the Senators have won the 5 first playoff games in their last 6 appearances and well we all know what became of their playoff runs.

All in all though what a terrific season. I never expected the Pens to go this far. I dont think anyone did. The Pens are just way too young yet. I am willing to bet in 2 years they will be one hell of a team. It's just not their time right now. However this year made me proud to be a Pens fan once again. So apparently TSN and other sources are reporting that Jim Balsillie just bought up the Nashville Predators. I am pretty sure he will want to move their team. That is an unfortunate thing, but really who ever thought a franchise would make it in Nashville?

Also I think this is enough evidence proving Balsillie wanted to move the Penguins. Fucking asshole, I knew it.
