Is there any danger of picking up any useful skills by spending the day in a library? Do such buildings in fact exist in DnD cities or would extended browsing at a bookshop do the trick? I think Bob should certainly pick up some kind of teach yourself to speak foreign book.

I was thinking more that Bob should learn a different language and get people to translate for him via that one. He does speak common, he just can't make out anyone's accents. Having him communicate through a translator pixie strikes me as amusing. He gets by well enough without though, it's all good in the hood.

Pang, can I target spells specifically at a certain square a large monster is in so as, for example to hit the elves standing behind it with the blast and not the dwarf in front of it.

Does the magic effect of Bob's fireburst robes work retroactively if he's just been hit or is it just damage going forward? I'm going to use it anyway but it's nice to know these things...

I assume that by my staying adjacent to the elf Brady can move past him without getting an opportunity attack in the back for the same reasons the elves made it past Deni ok and will in fact be in a flanking position on said elf if he does so?

I was just wondering really, I assumed the elf was facing me as he attacked me or does facing not really matter? I also thought you got opportunity attacked just for moving past an opponent, my mistake. I'll stay put anyway, if nothing else to stop the elf pushing past me and grabbing the sword, hoping he's not stupid enough to attack someone who's on fire.

If anyone asks, it was totally intentional that I forgot that using ranged attacks in melee range would mean an opportunity attack, thereby burning the elf.

Brady, you can move past me and take my place once you've secured the sword, I just didn't think it was wise to let the elves get hold of it.

Pang, what effect does being slowed actually have? It never seems to effect the initiative order which is what I would have guessed at.

What kind of modifiers are involved when shooting spells past the ogre? Is there any danger of Bob hitting the elves or is he better off concentrating on killing the ogre first?

Also, we could try to persuade it to change teams again. Now it's bloodied it might listen to reason, has anyone got a decent diplomacy skill?

I take it the rules don't cover the additional blast from the spell being contained by the walls of the house and potentially setting fire to it? Is it in fact contained by walls or can Bob in effect shoot through walls by targetting the nearest space he can see with a burst spell?
