Go ahead and do it, wvlf said he's afk anyway and aside from catching diseases, it won't actually kill him.

Is the massive area of black to the right of the map a subtle hint as to which way we should be heading?

At least an unfortunate typo on my part has led to us gaining another companion, although if you count Murray and Howard there are now seven of us so Furious Five is a less relevant name.

I'm bored of being paranoid and I have a load of healing surges left, I'm picking the damn thing up.

Additional Spam:
Oh yeah, I nearly forgot, I'm going to Turkey for a week from Sunday morning and I very much doubt the hotel we're going to will have internet access so can someone look after Beefi for a week from Sunday please? Don't forget if any fights start he's a pacifist...

I'm guessing that as you didn't let me keep a ring that was a couple of levels too powerful for us, you're not going to let me keep the mace either so I won't bother asking what all the encounter and daily powers it has actually do.

Right about the time Beefi get's injured in combat and transforms into a raging avatar of Baphomet you mean?

Pang wouldn't be that mean.

Oh ok, cool. It's almost a shame from a Zerg-esque stat crunching point of view that we found it after I had a chance to aquire a wisdom modifier and retrain my headsman's chop feat that only works with axes...

I must say I'm in favour of more NPCs in the party, even if Howard doesn't say much. We should totally hire some henchmen next time we find a shop.

A whole week and nobody took the chance to make a move for me?

Fine, I'll do it myself then!

Edit: Hahahaha, you guys waited four days for me to pull a full defence. You knew Beefi wouldn't do anything until he got attacked anyway, you could have just delayed indefinitely until he got hurt.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Given we're only really going to be fighting undead from here on in and that all I'm losing is Headsman's chop by doing so, I think it's safe to say that Beefi is wielding the mace, although he's currently mainly brandishing it in a threatening fashion.

Those skeletons are minions, right?

Clearly a helicopter since that allows for at least one of us to have a comically irrational fear of flying.

I was thinking about using the Mow Down card we've got to try and kill all the minions in one go but they're a bit too spaced out (And half of them are already dead) so I'll save that for next time.

Edit: I'm assuming that the standard "Adventuring pack" contains a pipe and tobacco, right? You can't very well look smug and propose a poetry contest without a pipe in your mouth.

If we go through too many more fights without Beefi getting injured, the mace is going to leave I fear. Next time I'll specify that the losers of the contest have to explode into harmless chunks at the end of it.

I see Howard as a more long-term companion than St Cuthbert anyway, although the more NPCs we get on board the better at this point.

Well I think it'll come round a bit should Beefi actually do some skeleton smashing, he's pretty good at it once he gets going.

Of course I'm going to go out of my way to make sure he doesn't ever fight anything but that's half the fun of the game innit?

Ahahahaha, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay is the greatest game ever, I'm definitely making a new character (Seeing as how you don't really get skills like in Dnd I don't think Beefi would translate too well anyway, plus the random career generation in WFR is hilarious).

Cette, WFR lends itself well to psychotic bastards, there's a neat critical table you roll on when you get someone below 0 health that can lead to lost limbs, disembowelment and decapitation. Only downside is it works the same way for player characters and if you think the DnD economy is stingy, you can save up for months in WFR just to get a suit of leather armour only to be messily exploded by a wizard you looked at funny in the pub the day before you buy it.

I'll have to find my copy of it, it's up in the loft somewhere (1st edition, I believe they revamped it a few times).

Additional Spam:
Also, if this is to be Beefi's final hurrah, I believe a little leeway in the roleplaying would be permissable because I'm fucked if I'm letting that dragon get first swing at me.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

I don't think any amount of comedy wrestling moves are going to kill this dragon in six hits, especially if I keep missing. I should have picked a more realistic target to aim for.

Still, if Beefi somehow manages to kill it before you guys get involved then his position in Badass Valhalla is assured at least.

If I've not bloodied it yet, I may have to give up on the record attempt (Seeing as how I used most of my big attacks already).

I've still not had a chance to dig out my WFR rulebook, must do that soon. I understand they re-released it at some point, which version are you going with?

I'm going to be a human next time and am crossing my fingers for the career choice table to make me a beggar. Sure being a pit fighter actually gives you some useful skills and a semi-decent career path but given that nobody ever survives longer than their third skill choice it doesn't matter long-term.

Edit: In WFR, it's usually a D100 isn't it? i.e. 2D10 but it's the individual numbers that matter rather than the total.

Edit2: I totally forgot about Beefi's Ferocity feat that lets him make a basic melee attack when dropped to zero hp. Given he was raging at the time and would have caused 1W damage if he missed, the dragon basically takes another D8+7 damage. I still think we're all going to die here but every little helps and all that.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Oh I see. In the first edition you picked a race and that was your choices ended. You then rolled your stats and age and your stats would determine which of the character classes you could choose from; Warrior, ranger, academic or rogue. Your age would determine the number of natural skills you get and those are rolled randomly too with non-humans getting certain racial skills instead first. Once that's done, you roll your number of fate points then roll your career based on the class you chose.

I guess they decided that allowing certain classes based on your random stats limited the number of people trying to play a warrior with hilariously low Weapon Skill or Strength scores so just made it a total crap-shoot in the second edition (I found my old first edition rulebook, hope they didn't change too much).

I always loved in WFR how rather than in DnD where you move from Hero to Paragon to Superlegenddeity, you move from beggar to ratcatcher to footpad to smear of gib on the hooves of the Knights Panther's warhorses. I take it along with the shift in game rules we're shifting to the Warhammer Old World for the setting? I've been having to edit out references to Marienburg and Altdorf the entire time I've played DnD here so it'll be nice to get some use out of my Empire army book after all these years.

You're only going for WFR so we can get murdered by Skaven aren't you?

Well quite but Skaven can wipe out an entire party and half their own encampment in the same shot.

If you can find it anywhere, you should totally run the Castle Drachenfels adventure. We made it in to the castle on our third attempt and once, after having run it God knows how many times actually got near-ish the end then got bored and decided to run it with theoretical uber-characters only with all the monster encounters scaled up. After we cleared out the 30 harpies on the path outside using magical automatic triple repeater crossbows (Your opponent's abdominal cavity ruptures, spilling entrails over a wide area. Death is instantaneous), the GM decided that fair scaling was to add a Bloodthirster to the three skeletons in the gatehouse and we were butchered in seconds, but for the wizard who cast Vorpal Whirlwind of Chaos, killing all the monsters but turning himself utterly insane in the process.

Any game with such a comedically detailed critical hit chart and insanity points you can pick up by casting spells is always going to be full of win.

Warhammer being Warhammer, an evil party made up of orcs, chaos dwarves, beastmen and dark elves would turn on itself in a bloodbath within minutes. Even having elves and dwarves together in a party is a recipe for disaster.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Where abouts is Beefi on the map now Pang, as in is he still next to the dragon? After I spend a surge as a standard, I still get a minor and move action right?

Edit: Also, being knocked out doesn't end a barbarian rage does it?
