Wii love to hack our console

Looking at some WiiBrew modifications, it seems that Action Replay is just the beginning for the Wii. Listed here is a plethora of useful things you can do with your Wii remote, the console, or other things related to the system and modifying it. Please note that any changes to your system or hardware may or may not be safe and that some of these methods have not be thoughroughly tested.

Although many of these are just novelties, trying some of them out may be useful! If you have any other modifications, hacks, or utilities, feel free to discuss and/or post them here and I'll try to maintain the list! Props to those at http://wiibrew.org/index.php?title=Main_Page for their work.

Fine Tune

Purpose: Live music streamer

Very simple and designed for the Wii console. Worst best for listening simply to a single genre.

Running homebrew on the Wii

Note: This only gets the Wii running in Gamecube mode and, pending further hacking, Wii functionality cannot be used. This will only work on non-european consoles.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I don't get the point of listening to music on the Wii, when you computer has to be the server. Might as well plug in some speakers into the computer and listen it that way.
Like I said, most of us will see it as a novelty, but some people have a better sound system in their TV and might see this as a nice way to play music.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Nice, though it seems that all of the media streaming solutions are browser based. I wonder when the homebrew scene will be mature enough to allow a full fledged media center application to be running on the Wii, like Xbox Media Center. Probably not for a long while.
There are some complications as addressed by the gentleman in this video, but considering how much has been done in the 1 1/2 months the console has been out, I doubt it will take long.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

For the amount of time the Wii has been out this is fucking amazing progress. Nintendo are terrible at security.

It's funny though because the Action Replay and Freeloader seem to be widely sold and Nintendo has no issues with this.
They're not going to be assholes like Sony was with Lik-Sang.

wow sweet, hey do they have the next part of it when they talk about the PS3 from the looks of it at the end?
Go to the youtube page and try to follow the tracks there.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
