The easiest way would be to just burn the content with Nero or whatever as a video CD/DVD (VCD, etc.), assuming your DVD player can (and I'm sure with the TV you have, it will) read VCDs.
doom9 would be the best bet in getting quality out of it. If you're just looking to see how it'll turn out, try making a VCD with an episode and watching it on the set. Jam it back in, in the dark.
