If not for the fact that they are needed as food for maybe some rare species, then I say get rid of them. Bees are annoying, but they are useful because they pollinate and benefit way more species than they harm. Ants, while annoying and sometimes bite, help in breaking down remains and contribute to creating fertile soil. Spiders help to eat the bugs that annoy us and that may eat some crops.
However, I do not see the benefit of having mosquito's other than to feed animals that already have other forms of food. They carry a vast amount of diseases--though not as many in the U.S. as in other nations--and their bites are very irritating. If there are animals that heavily depend on mosquitos then I am willing to welcome them a little more.
