Mosquitoes. Kill 'em all.
 

Probably the more important reason I don't go outdoors, mosquitoes are the worst fucking things in this world and serve no purpose except to eat, spread disease and reproduce. They may be food for other organisms, but any animal that lives on nothing but mosquitoes should be weeded out by way of Darwinism.

I completely agree with you there. So many...ants. But of course, mosquitoes are more of a bother, ants are merely annoying due to being "everywhere"

I'd love to get rid of them all.

I was sitting outside on my porch on a Lazy Sunday Afternoon and all these flying insects started appearing on me. I started to get itchy so I sprayed down the whole place with spray. They still came. :(

They ruined my Happy Happy Fun-Time Nature hour!


BUT...I'm afraid if we killed them all, the ecosystem will be destroyed and everything will eventually die.

LOLZ this post is biased. I only voted no because it dripped with sarcasm.

But mosquitoes really are a pain in the ass... but considering how badly humans would proliferate without them, maybe we do need some pestilence to stop us from reproducing beyond our scope.

Now now, if we didn't have mosquitoes, we wouldn't have some of the other animals that we know of in the cycle of species. Now we shouldn't change the balance of all life, now should we?

I've never really had a problem with them. Durring the summer I must get like 2-3 mosquito bites total.

Never had a mosquito bite in my life, and not for a lack of being exposed to them. My mom's the same way, so it might be something genetic. They tend to swarm the rest of my family, though.

It's called humor. Have a sense of it.

If not for the fact that they are needed as food for maybe some rare species, then I say get rid of them. Bees are annoying, but they are useful because they pollinate and benefit way more species than they harm. Ants, while annoying and sometimes bite, help in breaking down remains and contribute to creating fertile soil. Spiders help to eat the bugs that annoy us and that may eat some crops.

However, I do not see the benefit of having mosquito's other than to feed animals that already have other forms of food. They carry a vast amount of diseases--though not as many in the U.S. as in other nations--and their bites are very irritating. If there are animals that heavily depend on mosquitos then I am willing to welcome them a little more.

Mosquitoes

When I think of Mosquitoes I think of dirty flying syringes. Oh, and when they decide to inject you with their poisons, HIGH FIVES! I cant stop itching. Needless to say, they are my favorite insects and I think they should stay around awhile to spread diseases like "West-side Nile" (The gangster strain) and Malaria. (Yes, I couldn't possibly be more sarcastic!)

I'm more annoyed by flies than anything else. You pack youself with deodorant, aeroguard, even a damn fly-screen if you want to. And still, you can't get away from them.

I remember an afternoon when both the flies and the mosquitoes were bad.. Holy shit... it was like a day in hell.

I don't think they inject poisons for the sake of pissing you off. Its just the LAME ass side affect (effect?) of them getting what they need to live. I dont mind them, even though I have about 4 bites right now. I have a bug zapper.

Yes, Mosquitoes do what humans do: They take what they need no matter what happens to others... and there's only room for one parasite in the world.

I'm not suggesting they've come about and survived for that specific purpose, as part of some planned-all-along eco system master plan conspiracy; but with the knowledge that mosquitos are the worlds biggest killer, and the most hit places are already-famine-stricken third world regions, then surely the idea deserves more attention than a connection with far-fetched sci-fi ideas?

Or do I just want to see lots of niggers* die?
