I'm glad to see that someone in the African American community actually said it. I think the "Hooked on Phonics" line may have been a little rough, but seriously you don't need to spend $300 on shoes unless they can dance and sing (or turn lead into gold...that would be cool). I read parts of the speech that you are talking about and it was very interesting. It's May 17th here, so unfortunately I will have to celebrate a Belated Cosby Day.
I like the movie "Ghost Dad", especially this one part where his daughter's boyfriend asked if "the Bimbo was home" and Cosby went through the phone and started choking the guy. I think my dad would have done the same thing, but Cosby had the actual skills.
