Want to save bandwidth? Hey here's an awesome idea. Remove these disgustingly lame smilies so they're no longer ruining the boards. These are hardly ever used, or they're used by Mush/newbies/Aard.

And oh my god I didn't even know existed. That is just fucking scary, guys. Seriously I never see these used by anyone who isn't an uninformed dumbass. You could replace them with at least half decent ones (like pom's) and save a bunch of time. The rest are okay, I guess. It kinda sucks how Acer is the only one who can make usable smilies here without them sucking ass. I don't know where the original set come from but it's pretty dry.

I also would like to nominate for a place in the garbagesmiley tree because the lack of depresses me.

The "saving bandwidth" thing was just an excuse. It's not going to save bandwidth, but half of the ones I listed either aren't used appropriately, make one look stupid, or turn the sentence into malformed rubbish. Give me one instance where :ninja: fits into a sentence and doesn't make you look like a tard. Oh wait, upon preview it appears as if this one also stretched the sentence. Perfect.

But yeah, I'm all for Secret of Mana smilies. The animated ones, of course. You really can't go wrong with rabites.

Edit: God, this post looks terrible. This is what I'm talking about. If anyone's going to try and attempt to get their point across, sticking something such that ninja, the gigantic grin tard, and the lolsign in their posts, it just ruins the entire effect. If they're not needed, it won't hurt to replace them.

Attacking someone's avatar, and posting etiquette is not a very intelligent way to ignore the matter at hand. Perhaps if you actually took into consideration that these smilies are rarely ever used at all, are ugly as fuck, and aren't appropriate, then maybe others can consider to remove them and replace them with something that people will actually use. Search the forums and find out how many times the lolsign, ninja and other garbage smilies have been used, and who they've been used by.

My argument here, like the vast majority of my posts, isn't even an argument. This is a support forum for suggestions. But you'll manage to be perfectly able to bring something irrelevant to the situation up, in a way to differ the original intentions presented here. The majority of these smilies can be replaced easily with others which will be more appropriate and usable on the forums. They don't all need to be original material and made by gamingforce members, but they don't have to suck which is what we currently have. But way to go with attacking me for making a suggestion.

Most of those kinds of smilies I almost never see used by regulars, mostly people without avatar/signature combos with low posts use them. Not that those people are irrelevant, per se, but lolsign is sort of ugly. Hell, I think someone even stuck about 20 of them in their signature. Whatever happened to that guy?

Shin's stab was uncalled for, so I retorted accordingly. Basically, if we can't exchange the current smilies, or if we can't show worthwhile smilies (like VG tried to do) this thread won't go anywhere. But like I said, most of them are pretty outdated although is still awesome. I fully support the likes of :mushboom: and coming into the crowd, unless there's a limit on smilies and in that case some will need to go.

It might seem irrelevant but since bobo has been adding bits and pieces here and there to the forums, maybe this can be scheduled in the pipeline.

Besiiiiides, I have much better things to do. Like, for instance, watch people attack me in a suggestion thread in a support forum! I'm really loving this. But most of those smilies Roph posted are pretty neat, I totally forgot about ones like and the rack of bouncing consoles. Which aren't necessarily needed but they're still a big step up from what we have.

There's absolutely nothing stopping you from denying what I've said without resorting to attacking. I could always begin hosting smilies and using them, but that defeats the entire purpose of there being a smiley column in the advanced reply section of the forum. There are no "offensive" smilies here, just ones which make the poster look like a tard. They clutter up the ends of sentences and most people don't even bother with them, unless they're new or unless they're relating to sarcasm.

I didn't make a suggestion in board support to argue over it. That's about as intelligent as voting for something and then arguing over why you've voted. It's not the point in the first place. It isn't even hard, all you need to do is replace the unused smilies with the one's Roph has posted.
