Oh my god it's a manga version of PETER JACKSON.
I've read alot on this so-called "sequel" to Ouendan. I don't like the characters but essentially the gameplay is still there. And Walkie Talkie Man is a great song. Steriogram is a band from New Zealand and I've seen them live in concert, they're also pretty good live as well. If there's a bunch of angst/emo songs on this, such as Green Day and My Chemical Romance, forget it. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I wouldn't call it a sequel myself. It has the feel of the original game, but they're not related and there's no ties between the two. Though that's like saying Pop'n Music 10 and 11 aren't related - it doesn't really matter, you're not playing it for it's story. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Can you post that in a larger size, it's too small.
Also song lists (thanks Acer ='D) Edit: List removed for now, as multiple sites are reporting this as fake. This list has been floating around, but hasn't been 100% confirmed. I can't say whether it's official or not. Some of the songs in that are pretty bad. (But some are pretty awesome, too. Like Walkie and Hardware Store.) This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I've been researching the song list, and everywhere I've looked, this song list has been reported as fake. So I'll remove it. I'll still buy it based on two things: 1) It has Ouendan's engine and 2) It has Walkie Talkie Man.
It's a shame, somewhat. The opportunity of them fucking up and dishing out a worse song list is still open. But it's an even bigger shame that some certain people can't enjoy a game based solely on it's song list. In that case, Amplitude shouldn't be played. Which is just wrong. Unfortunately, Hardware Store won't be playable after all. I was speaking idiomatically.

Aw man, that's fucking poor. I was really looking foward to this game, too. But really, there's only a couple of songs I'd be interested in. YMCA is one of them.
# Sk8er Boi - Avril Lavigne # Y.M.C.A. - Village People # Material Girl - Madonna # La La - Ashlee Simpson # Without a Fight - Hoobastank # Believe - Cher # Makes No Difference - Sum 41 # The Anthem - Good Charlotte SUM 41. GOOD CHARLOTTE. ASHLEE SIMPSON. MADONNA. CHER. COULD THIS GET ANY WORSE? ![]() Oh hell no. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Though on second thought, the EBA list isn't so bad. Even Ouendan had songs I disliked (egyptian level specifically) and I'm a huge weeaboo. I just don't understand how they find Survivor a fitting song for this game. FELIPE NO |
IGN rating:
9.5 After them giving God Hand a low score, Touch Detective a low score, and now EBA with it's questionable tracklist a ridiculous 9.5, I'm never going to visit IGN again. Not that I made a habit of doing this, but what the hell. I should've learned when they gave Jade Empire a score of what, 9.9 or something? Yeah. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
I like how this game's already been leaked into newsgroups already.
Downloading right now, I'll see how this thing turns out. Edit: Ugh, how the hell is this thing 105MB. Jam it back in, in the dark.

I've played it for a solid 2 hours and here's what I've managed to gather from playing it.
First of all, normal mode is really fucking weird if you've played Hard/Insane Ouendan. Weird as in, it's extremely slow moving. Every song you clear opens up 2 more stages. Some songs, on the other hand, are really good. The christmas and nurse stages are really nice, and even The Anthem is pretty cool. Unfortunately this is countered by shit like David Bowie and Material Girl (which happens to remind me of Paris Hilton and Nicole) and that song from the director's level, which sounds and feels out of tune and pretty lame. I'm sure when I get to hard mode it'll become better. The comic style is still the same, which is nice. The only problem with the stories is that some of them are so farfetched it's like they just threw anything together to add songs. But yeah, I'll play around with it later tonight. My neck hurts like hell from being in the same position for such a long period of time while playing this. I'll let you know what the final song is. Also yeah, I agree with kensuke. I wouldn't give this game a score over Ouendan, to be honest. Personally I enjoyed Ouendan more, but this is still a pretty solid game. Still, giving it a 9.5 is ridiculous. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
he wuz a sk8r boi she sed c u l8r boi
he wuznt gud enuff 4 hur Sooooooo I just finished Elite Beat Agents. The playlist is awful. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. To tell you just how awful it was, I am going to use text. First level starts you out playing "Walkie Talkie Man" by Steriogram. Okay, this song would be decent if THE LYRICS WERE BY THE ACTUAL ORIGINAL SINGER, but no. I've seen Steriogram in concert (they're a NZ band) and the were pretty good. This however, isn't. Normal mode is also extremely slow and runs at about half the pace of the song. Second level's "Sk8r Boi" by Canada Gets Known for Something. You have to PRESS the CIRCLES when she SAID see you LATER boy. Yeah this song doesn't even feel right, but it isn't half as bad as some of the others the game as to offer, so whatever. I'd much rather play this over something like David Bowie. BUT WAIT, FUCK BOWIES. We have Madonna - Material Girl to The game opens up 1/2 levels every time you pass a level. Does it get better? HELL NO. Well actually kinda, but every awesome song is immediately shunned by one which isn't. You're going to be playing La La, Canned Heat, and You're The Inspiration over and over. Seriously, I'm not joking around. For some reason Destiny's Child - Survivor and Cher - Believe aren't in the single player mode. This is a good thing. But there's a POSITIVE SIDE to this game. Ignoring the fact that there's only 3 songs I really enjoyed, the art style is exactly the same as Ouendan. Also, they've used sound effects from Ouendan in parts of the comic strips, which will mean nothing to anyone who hasn't played Ouendan, but I liked it. The last song is pretty cool, as well. It took me 4-5 ties before I was able to beat it. Hard mode is shaping up to be pretty good as well. Cher - Believe is in hard mode only it seems, so I'm just guessing ABC and Survivor are also in hard or whatever comes after hard. That's basically it. 3 good songs. Good comics. I doubt this has as much replay value as Ouendan did, and overall I still prefer it over this, but I definitely wouldn't give it a 9.5 like IGN did. A solid 7.5 would be better, I guess. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
They aren't in single player on normal mode. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
