I can't give much advice as I've never traveled away from Auckland. Auckland's city is pretty cluttered though.
(Oh, and auckland is fucking huge. It's probably the biggest area in the entire country.) I'm more of a suburb kind of guy (living in east auckland right now) and surburbs are pretty mellow. It's really multi-cultural over here, too. The suburbs aren't really what I'd call a tourist attraction though. :3 Where will you be staying? Most amazing jew boots
