Also, this game needs more proper art. I can't find any absolutely anywhere, and trust me, I have fucking sources up the wazoo in the art department of games. I guess it's way too early for that.

Also none of these look like sprites and I'm constantly reminded of Dawn of Mana for some reason. Probably the green atmosphere.

It's weird. The shadows make the 2D sprites look like 3D characters.

I wonder why they're pushing for it to be released.

Can't wait for this. Damn, there's just so many good games coming out this month. Art of Fighting Anthology, Odin Sphere, Ouendan 2, Dawn of Mana, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, and Etrian Oddysee. I might even be forgetting something.

Etrian Oddysee actually looks a lot like Odin Sphere.

This game is pretty much was Okami was last year. Fucking awesome and unique in all aspects which makes people stop and stare.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if this got game of the year. Or something close to it. And it's only May.

I think I've trapped myself in a corner. I'm on chapter 2 in hard, fighting against Velvet, with no healing items and only 44 hp. I can't do anything since I saved on the level as well.

Also this game looks really good in 16:9 though it doesn't support it. Great use of my new tv.

Don't waste your time trying to farm for gold, when you can just use materials to make your own healing items. Just make sure you do it right otherwise you're going to have a bunch of materials that you won't be able to do anything with (this early on in the game).

The only healing item I noticed which you can create during Gwendolyn's quest is this:

08. Mix H (Healing Tonic)
Ingredients: 0 + Carroteer, 4 + Rotten Fruit
Effects: Heals you for 200 HP.
Found: Gwendolyn, Chapter 4
Comment: Useful for Boss Battles when you can't stop to eat.

As listed in the FAQ. More of them are available the deeper you get into the game. I haven't completed the game by any means, (playing on Hard) but if I were you (or if I were me, and I'm me) I'd use money to buy bigger bags. Being forced to use items because you're full is rather annoying.

I don't think you can have more than one item equipped at once. Whenever you hear squeaking noises, jump on that spot, and kill whatever pops up. It's worth buying materials to make a bunch of healing items (material 0 + carroteer) before going into battle. It's also a good idea to grind pharzons to your highest limit before battle, since things like Phazon Burst help against bosses and when you're surrounded.
