Oh hell yes, CityWalk is amazing! I've always liked to go there, at any rate. Keep in mind that I don't live in LA, so visiting is always different than something you have access to all the time. In any event, you could take her to Wolfgang Puck's restaurant there if you want to be fancy (and spend a ridiculous amount of money on food); it's the original restaurant from whence the rest of his chain spawned. There's also a bowling alley!

I personally don't mind dinner-and-a-movie, but maybe that's because I don't date much .

Yeah, what is it with that? I really don't understand how we get any interesting bands here (maybe Fresno I can see...). When I was here, we didn't have shit for bands coming around! Then again, Warp Tour went to Tulare when I was in high school...I didn't understand that at all...

Warped Tour fucking sucks now. It's been nothing but wrist-slitting MySpace mouthbreathers headlining for the past 4 years. This year I'm going to see Bad Religion and Flogging Molly... and that's... pretty much it. Oh yeah...I couldn't believe the lineups I've seen when I cared to look the last two years. I mostly want to see Flogging Molly, but I don't want to wade through (nor pay for) a ton of crappy bands to get to the good stuff.

I missed out on seeing FM back in the day, when they weren't well-known. My friend still occasionally throws it (and the shoes she had signed by the entire band) in my face .
