It's not really 'studying,' but I find it almost impossible to practice my viola in my own space, even though I thought that I would practice more. Even though it doesn't distract me directly, something about being in the presence of a bed causes my practice to be a lot less productive.
That said, I also hate practice rooms; I have to prop my case open on top of the piano, so there's some decoration (my viola case is filled with patches, stickers and pictures against the red velvet, so it really brightens up the drab practice room). Jam it back in, in the dark. |
