Encountering errors
I've been having way too many problems these days after I have reformated like 2 weeks ago. Every time hoping to fix these problems I reformat and it seems it doesn't fix the problems. First it was I wasnt able to installed service pack 2 for windows xp home edition, but I was able to install it (reformated at least 6 times trying to get it to work) where I had to installed service pack 2 right away before getting other updates (which I never had to do before for it to work). Every time I'm reformatting now programs such was winamp and 3dsm8 (some others too) encounter errors and dont open when I reboot my computer, it works when I re-install them but when I turn my computer off or reboot I get the same fdasdasdasdjh encountered an error send error report now bla bla bla. Or I get those floating point not detected error. I'm using the same recovery disk I've always been using, and always did the c: drive recovery and I never had problems but the past few reformates I seem to be getting problems. Now is it possible my recovery disk has all of a sudden gone corrupt or something (which I doubt) or is it a hardware problem where I should send it to the warranty place. Or hell is there even a way of fixing my problems?
How ya doing, buddy? |
I downloaded windows xp, and when installing it I used my cd key thats located on the back of my computer, when I typed it in, it kept saying that my key is wrong. So I had a problem and I had to use the recovery disk. I wanted to use the key that came with the download but I was wondering if I download any updates from microsoft, would it detect I have a fake one installed?
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
So your saying I can activate the one with a fake key? How do I do that? All I need is the service pack 2 update, dont care about the other small updates.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Well the whole re-installing windows thing didn't work for me, since it couldnt read the disk each time I was doing it (yes I was doing it right), I phoned up the warranty place of my computer and they said it was most likely the recovery disk thats gone bad, which they told me to phone up Sony to get a new one, and bastard shit holes at Sony tech are charging me like 17$ for the recovery disk. I dont even know why the hell my warranty doesn't cover FREE RECOVERY DISK BECAUSE THE SONY VAIO MODEL I BOUGHT DIDNT COME WITH A RECOVERY DISK, I HAD TO MAKE IT MY SELF. Bastards...
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
