Another issue with having so many,
so many composers, is that the game'll probably sound like it was written by thirty-six people: that is, with a whole bunch of different styles all over the place. Could end up giving each of the stages their own distinct flavor, and also could end up making it seem like Sakurai just cherry-picked a bunch of tracks he liked without regard to consistency.
Another issue is that just because so many good people are working on it doesn't mean that the music will actually be any good.

Seriously, though--how many tracks will each composer write? One? Two? It doesn't seem like there's enough room in the game for that much music--how many tracks to these Smash Brothers dealies usually contain?

The USF set of SSB has 47 tracks. Including jingles, Kairyu's SSBM rip has 97 tracks.
