Try removing your router from the equation by directly connecting the broadband modem to one of the computers and see what happens. You will need to setup a PPPoE connection in Windows XP network connection wizard.
I'm willing to bet it's the SpeedStream 5200 if you are using SBC/AT&T/Verizon DSL as they seemed to have changed some of their network settings and the 5200s can have various problems on their network. If this happens to be the case, call them up and have them send you the updated SpeedStream 4100 (yes it is the newer model even though the number is lower.) Jam it back in, in the dark. |
