It won't be 249... that's still too much. Don't get me wrong, I will buy a $250 Wii. I will buy it on LAUNCH day. But, for what Nintendo is aiming at here, they desperately need to be charging 200 or less for this system.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
It might be for the best that some of the games won't be ready at launch. I know when Dreamcast launched, there were so many awesome games that I couldn't figure out which one I wanted first. (luckily, Soul Calibur was so far above the rest that it was an easy choice.)
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Guys, about the 512mb storage and VC games.
The largest N64 game ever created, Conker's Bad Fur Day, was 64 megabytes. You could store approximately 8 of those. (The only other game that reached that filesize was Resident Evil 2.) 90% of N64 games are a lowly 8 megabytes. You could store 64 of those. I sincerely doubt anyone wants to download 64 games from the N64's library, given that it didn't have more than about 20-30 really good games. You're all literally worrying about nothing. I was speaking idiomatically. |
Good. That will push developers to economize on space, which would also decrease on delivery times and cost, as well.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Madden on Gamecube might've sold like, 5 copies. Bad example.
FELIPE NO |
Man... if they could do that for the rumored under 200 dollars... that would literally END the competitors.
Of course, there's no way that could happen. 3d projection technology can't possibly be that advanced. Still curious as to what's under the flap, though. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
This is a perfect example of what Nintendo is doing wrong right now.
Magazines and newspapers are fine, whatever. But right now Nintendo needs to be airing commercials for the Wii nonstop on any and all TV channels. Even if they're just teaser commercials for now, the key thing is they need to be getting their image out right now, before everyone hears about the PS3 controller and gets conned into thinking Nintendo stole something from Sony. If that happens, Nintendo's chances will be seriously hurt. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Nintendo consoles have never sold for a loss.
