Stuttering mouse
I'm using a Logitech G5 (USB) and my mouse seems to stutter across the screen when I move it at a reasonable slow pace. This seems very wrong considering it's a 2000dpi mouse and is running at a steady report rate of 500MHz.
I've tried using other mice, including an mx518 and wireless V200. What up. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I double-checked to make sure. No USB1.1 on this beast.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
It doesn't seem to be that either. I'm using a gaming mouse pad but I've tried books, desktop, random junk and it's all the same.
Also, I haven't installed the shitty SetPoint drivers that come with Logitech mice. Would that make a difference? I mean.. the mouse is taking full advantage of the bandwidth it was designed for. Also doubtfully thinking.. could it be my CPU is too slow to keep up? I've got a Athlon XP 3200+ and running at 1280x1024. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
