Because he is an arsehole. Then again, Lowtax lost points with me for whining like a bitch afterwards about Boll not training him. If you're going to enter a boxing ring with someone you don't rely on them to train you.
Anyways, I'm not sure what Boll was intending to get out of the litte stunt, maybe just his name spread around a bit, but he was a fool if he thought it avoid being suffixed with the phrase "that guy who makes really shit films" still.
