I suppose my av and title there say enough. I particularly didn't like the Spread Needle, mostly because most forms of it that I saw were some really cheap hack that'd kill everything before my HUmar could even get a hit in. The first few months I played it online on the Dreamcast were heavenly for sure, but once the cheats started spreading, the game (at least version 1 on the Dreamcast) went the way of Diablo on Battle.net. And while I have episode 1&2 on the Gamecube now, I don't play it online. Same issue, lack of money. And in order for Multi Mode to really work from what I've seen, you have to have several people living pretty close to each other that are all quite into it. Otherwise, you either all get schooled by the monsters or you have one person that does fine while his buddy(ies) keep dying on him.
As for my character, it was a HUmar like I already said, with a little emphasis in magic ability as well as attack power (my MAG was 40 DEF, 100 POW, 30 DEX and 40 MIND). I went the saber route for a good while, until one day in Hard or VHard Forest I found a repeater (mechgun) and decided to give it a try. Oh, what wonders it did. Ever since, I had a mechgun weapon for every area with the right photon for it, such as a Charge Repeater for Forest with 50% photon on Native monsters (which was easy to accomodate with the YELLOWBOZE Id). I would switch things around sometimes too, like a Soul Calibur (

) in the Ruins.
I did get Version 2 on the Dreamcast, but I never got to play it online. Made it to the Ruins in Ultimate Mode but stopped there. I just kept getting wasted by everything, even with Shifta and Deband on myself and Jellen and Zalure on the baddies (which..none of which I can cast with my recreation in Episode I&II on the GC for some reason

).
So, now, I've remade that HUmar for Episode I&II on the Cube and am currently going through Episode II on Normal. I'm having a fun time, but I do admit I miss the online days. Those days are what rank PSO as one of my favorite RPGs.
