Honestly, if you want to switch me to an archer or something, thats fine. I'm just use to playing sword-carriers in the past, so I automagically went for Fighter.

While I appreciate the "help", my problem is more in unlearning the 2nd Edition rules and trying to figure out this 4th edition shit. I tried reading it and my mind still defaults to the old system. (This is also why Ive never bothered to play the WotC Star Wars game)

I do not know why the adventure thread doesn't always pop up in my User CP. Sorry about the wait yesterday folks, Sass had to IM me and I posted about 5 seconds later. I really do not know whats doing it - my browser, some code in GFF - but it seems to only affect this site and only for that thread.

Actually, I just enjoy playing D&D for the writing aspect and the humor. A'fight'n ain't bad either, but to me its just about character.

I'd've posted more but we've had power problems in the area. They were resolved yesterday, so I'm still playing catch up in the D&D thread.

What kind of bonuses do I get from charging into attack? Can I charge *and* do an "At-Will" skill or is that considered two actions?

This was something from my old Star Wars RPG days. My character use to have this powerful sniper rifle with a macrobinocular scope. The rules in the old WEG book were if you take one round to do nothing but "focus" (in this case, aim the sniper rifle at your target) you'd get a bonus die roll to add to the sniping skill total.

Is there something like that in this? I skimmed the rules and found nothing off hand.
