Poo, from Earthbound is what immediately comes to mind. Oh and of course theres Teepo from Breath of Fire 3, I always found his name to be especially stupid sounding. The classic Butz from FF5, but I think they changed it to Bartz in the US release. Oh and Fayt was pretty damn bad too. There are plenty of others, but those are the most obvious... Oh and I hated Terra's japanese name too... Tina, just doesn't fit her and it reminds me of the word Tuna for some reason. >_>
As for those I renamed simply to amuse myself... I remember I named Aeris from Final Fantasy VII Butch this one time I played. I named Barret Mr. T for obvious reasons, and Cloud I just named "dude." Jam it back in, in the dark. |
