I hope someone here besides is up for the BF2142 beta on fileplanet. I'm downloading it right now. Hopefully I'll see some of you guys on it. If you have Comcast as your ISP, get registered through Game Invasion for a free years subscription to Fileplanet, IGN Insider, and Gamespy (<---Like someone would download spyware from that site ^^. Hopefully I'll see some of you guys in Titan Mode.

It's also disappointing to see the beta being over on the 12th. Obviously they should extend that. Even the 2nd client has it's major bugs. DICE definitely needs to work on the netcode, because even "green light" games have SEVERE lag to the point it's unbareable. Either DICE extends the beta to fine-tune (further) the Gold release, or this game will forever be deemed a mod in beta stage.

Pfft. After playing the 2142 beta, Quake Wars looks tasty and somewhat stable. I expect patches a la Tribes 2, where the patch is bigger than the installation size itself. Ha, now that I think about, the 1.4 patch for BF2 is almost half-way there. Dispicable.

Yeah, very good reason. I think BF2 and BF2142 needs more of an emphasis on squad, not just "join squad, spawn on squad leader" attitude that is has.

I don't know if the question was answered or not, but I've been running a downloaded copy with a legit key for quite some time now. My 2nd disc was severely scratched by my 2 year old son, so I have to download it every time I reformat. You'll be fine.

I only get choppiness during entrance and exit of the Titan.

ANY possible way to modify the file to get rid of the ads? More than likely, hackers will have this "patch" within a couple of weeks. Here's hoping. =/
