Haven't played the first one yet (I did play the demo though and thought it was pretty good), but hearing all this is definitely making me excited enough to start it. The sixty-player online and eight-player co-op alone sound impressive, so if they manage to pull those off well this may be the first PS3 game I buy on the day of release.

I didn't buy Qore or preorder the game either, but I'm still hoping I get in. Not really because I'm so desperate to play it (like with LBP), but because it seems like this might be the only way to try it before it comes out. I haven't heard anything about a normal demo, and the full game is less than a month away. I guess they could always release one after it comes out, though.
On that note though, is anyone else getting freaking sick and tired of betas? It seems like every other game now has some beta nowadays, and it especially sucks when they release one in lieu of an actual demo (would it hurt Sony to release a small one or two level demo for LBP, especially for people who didn't get into the LBP beta and are on the fence about it?). The worst part is when they use it as some kind of premium enticement, like a preorder bonus or something. Why should you have to put money down on a game just to test it for them? There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
I got in as well (must not be as difficult to get into as the LBP Beta was), but unforunately my internet has been acting up so I haven't been able to download it yet. Hopefully I'll have it done by this weekend, and maybe we can all get together and try some stuff out.

I haven't had much time to play this (push comes to shove, I'd still rather play real games than a glorified demo), but I was able to get a co-op game in with my sister, and it was pretty cool. She's not a big shooter fan (the only series she plays is TimeSplitters), but she was able to get into it eventually. The game seems fun enough that I may consider picking it up when it comes out, but there are just so many other games that are already out or coming out that I'm still not sure.
Anyway, I hope they release a real demo sometime soon. As fun as the multiplayer may be, I still want to try out the single player as well, to see how the game plays with the changes they made. I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |
