You guys have never heard of anyone doing this before? I was on a fieldtrip and one of my friends who was rooming with me always lit matches after she used the bathroom. Yes she did claim that it was to get rid of the smell or conceal it. I don't quite remember if it did anything because I wasn't about to go in the bathroom and start sniffing right after someone takes a dump.
However, I'm not sure how smart it is to do something like that on a friggin' airplane, despite the lady not being the only person who is doing this. Jam it back in, in the dark.
