ZiggyGo: I definitely think so too!

Famous Game, Obscure Name Nomination (#40)

Composer: Konami Kukeiha Club
Album: Genso Suikoden Original Game Soundtrack
Track Title: Theme of the Advancing Army
Track Number: 2-18
Year: 1996
Catalog Number: KICA-7696~7
Additional Information: This track is only played once in the game, and from my experience is one of the most unknown and underrated tracks on the soundtrack. I think it fits the theme week.

theme week, theme of the advancing army, get it

Jam it back in, in the dark.

When I hear a tsugunai piece I can't help but compare it to "Happiness", one of my favourite Mitsuda compositions ever. an cinniùint - The Flaming Tree is pleasant, but is lacking in distinctive character and atmosphere.

I remember liking the other KAROUS track that was nominated a couple of years ago (I think I liked it, I do remember it so that's more I can say about most past tracks), and KAROUS original soundtrack SPRING RAIN - death from above 4098 (Stage5) is also fine. Really liking the drum work.

Puchi Carat has a wonderful soundtrack. <3 Puchi Carat ORIGINAL SOUND TRACKS - Bad Moon (Sapphire) is admittedly one of my least favourite tracks from it, but it's still decent fun. The synth lead is more jarring than catchy, but at least the jazzy backing is good.

Ryuji Sasai is pretty much the greatest VGM composer musician ever, and is cooler than any normal person. Rudra no Hihou original sound version - Beyond the Rising Moon nicely captures his spirit and energy; I enjoy it while it lasts of course though I can't say much about it afterwards. Fleeting, but the best kind of fleeting.

Sengoku BASARA 2 Original Soundtrack - Yukimura Sanada's Theme is painfully generic. I mean, damn.

starmine - Harmony and Lovely -contemporary chamber mix- really sounds like some of Kikuta's h-game work in places (that running keyboard). It's fairly nondescript save a few nice flourishes (2:40 is very nice).

The Blue Wolf and the White Doe: The Secret History of the Mongols - Wolves on Horseback is particularly good. What starts as a moving call into the wilderness gradually transforms into something more elegant and human. The piano adds an excellent touch.

I'm a sucker for Mothersbaugh and his main theme for The Sims 2. The Sims 2: Open For Business (Game Rip) - The Sims 2 NewWave Theme is arguably my favourite arrangement, having a wonderfully produced new age feel while retaining some tasteful pop sensibilities. The section from 1:34 to 1:52 hooks me every time!

POINTs abound; POINTs flourish

3 points: The Sims 2: Open For Business (Game Rip) - The Sims 2 NewWave Theme
2 points: The Blue Wolf and the White Doe: The Secret History of the Mongols - Wolves on Horseback
1 point: KAROUS original soundtrack SPRING RAIN - death from above 4098 (Stage5)
I Can't Believe It's Not Point!: Rudra no Hihou original sound version - Beyond the Rising Moon
5th: starmine - Harmony and Lovely -contemporary chamber mix-
6th: an cinniùint - The Flaming Tree
7th: Puchi Carat ORIGINAL SOUND TRACKS - Bad Moon (Sapphire)
seriously, what: Sengoku BASARA 2 Original Soundtrack - Yukimura Sanada's Theme

Very solid week. I'm sensing another tight end result!

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Haha what how did my track win. Totally surprised. The gold could have easily gone to five other tracks, wow.
