I really liked the art style of FFTA...I also liked the music a whole lot. But that was about it. The structure of the game didn't really appeal to me (I still can't see how I finished that game...), i.e. the running around in circles on the map with various, and repetitive, battles. I guess I'm being a bit too harsh on the gameplay...it really wasn't that bad, but boy oh boy, the storyline sure was. I agree with the populace on that matter. Ruined much of my experience playing the game.
Hopefully the sequel will change a few things up (especially in the storyline; I hope it's more of a spiritual sequel than an actual sequel =.=") to make it a bit more...well, y'know...less tedious? Jam it back in, in the dark.

Well FFTA2 has been announced for the US. (And yes I link to rpgfan) >=[
Still on the fence with this one. I haven't looked much into it, but will definitely give it a whirl when it arrives. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
