This looks like a lot of fun, it's too bad I wasn't here or I would have joined...

Let me know if another game begins, so I can start from the beginning and not feel like a fool for asking questions other people already asked

Looks like it'll be a while before I join, I don't think anyone has died yet... and the wait list is fairly long.

If I can ever get in, I would be a rogue. I don't remember the race's name, and I just checked... the fairy blonde people who can teleport. I don't remember. It's too late to be thinking and I have an exam tomorrow. I'll figure out the details later.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I've been reading the Players' Guide and I can't figure out for the life of me what [W] means. My best guess is that it means a weapon attack? It's used a lot in the ability descriptions.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Even if Denicalis were smart enough to give up the loot, he wouldn't be allowed to because Gabe would probably have a stroke and drop dead if he even thought about backing out of a fight

How ya doing, buddy?

I have a stupid question for Mr. Pang.

Virtually all of the attacks (except Shin's spells and Daunting Light), go against "AC". What is this AC - accuracy or acrobatics?
If I recall correctly, AC stands for "Armor Class" - presumably the toughness of the ogre's armor and/or thick skin in this case.

Just out of curiosity, what good does Gabe's shiny circle do?

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

That dwarf is good... he hit a random wall, yet he managed to knock down the part of the second floor that would only hurt his enemies. If Gabe tried that, he'd be the one on the floor.

That makes sense then, sorry Pang.

My brain just didn't see hitting a wall as an attack

Pang:

I've been wondering about how damage happens in this game for awhile, like how AC works and shit. For example, I hit Iggy for 4 damage. Does this mean I rolled a 1 and had +3 added to it? Or I rolled n and had +3 added, minus his AC, coming to 4 hp damage?
The attack and damage effects are two separate rolls.

Your attack roll decides whether or not you actually hit your opponent. It will be Pang rolling a d20, adding/subtracting any modifiers, and comparing it to the right defensive capability of your opponent. Also, rolling a 20 on the die might be a critical hit depending on what you are using.

If you hit, then you roll whatever your weapon damage die is, once again adding modifiers, and that's your damage. In the case of your mace, it's an 8 sided die, plus 3 for your strength.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I'll take over as Ewan if no one has any objections. I'd like to put all of the useless knowledge I learned to some kind of use. Does he have any abilities from his time as a bouncer or is he pretty much just a normal unarmed person along for the ride?

Do I have more than one knife? Or can I only use it once? Presumably there are more in the kitchen but knowing would be good.

P.S. sorry about the sig. I expected the site to just tell me it was too big, i thought it did that with my avatar at any rate

I'm going to do everything in my power to keep this poor guy alive. If I'm taking a lot of hits, I'll probably run for it - after all, you guys don't need to end up fighting an extra zombie armed with a frying pan.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

He wasn't planning on them getting through so quickly, and he was probably hoping to burn them to death (again) before trying to resurrect them (again) to fight on our side.

I'm sure if Pang has anything to say about it i'll get bitten and turn on the Horde. Maybe he'll even let me keep going and knock out a few teeth once I'm a zombie.

All "improvised weapons" do 1d4 damage. You can't be proficient with them, so no attack roll bonus. Also, a thrown object has a range of 5/10. Stick with the axe. At least then you have a chance of doing some damage, unless Pang actually has somehow given the zombies immunity to axes.

I'm pretty sure that Ewan is the only one proficient with knives and frying pans, and that was mostly just Pang being random.

It'll probably corrode through the armor before it gets through Arg's skull. Then again, at least the armor gets washed once in a blue moon, so maybe not.

Melee: Frying Pan (standard; at-will) ✦Weapon
+3 vs. AC; 1d8 + 1 damage, and Ewan shifts 1 square.

Read the start of the thread. All of the info is there. Note that you might not be able to play for a year or two because Pangalin hasn't quite managed to kill anyone off yet (not for lack of trying) because the Horde is a very well-balanced and resourceful team.

Note: I refuse to send you an e-mail, mostly because if you do get to play at some point you will need to check back here often anyhow. GFF is a community (though some would argue otherwise) and somehow I don't think just showing up to play D&D really fits in with why the forums exist. If you just want to play D&D, find a forum made for that purpose. They're out there.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
