suggestion: game rip of the year/award

The whole idea is plain stupid. Nobody gives credits to rippers anyway, what makes you think people would actually bother downloading all the rips that come out during a year, listen to each and every one of them, rate them, review etc.?

People might as well just download one rip from one ripper. Take that times the amount of people downloading that same rip and also consider that the rip might be popular. That rip will most likely win. But does it win because the music is popular, or because the quality is of a high standard and alot of effort has been put into releasing the rip?

Bottom line is, rippers don't get enough credit as is, they never will get it and the whole idea is idiotic because there's no way to properly rate and appreciate the value of a good rip. There's too many things to take into account, and when people have problems thanking you for the rip, they will have an even bigger problem with downloading all the music let alone rate it.

And that's exactly what I've been trying to say, that's just not possible. Think of how many rips are released on a monthly basis. There's an overproduction already and people don't bother listening to most of it. Having people vote for a gamerip means that they have to download it and listen to all the music contained within that rip, something that most people are more than unwilling to do, or so it seems.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
