Same here. Rock & Roll. When a great one like something from Queen comes up on the radio I turn it up very high. Or Colletive Soul or Green Day.
But my true passion is VGM and I don't blast that... just keep it high enough for myself. I use a creative zen to hear it in my car so I have 30 gigs of it with me. Jam it back in, in the dark.
