Kasumi does not suck. She plays super OMGWTF rushdown, AND has counters. That QCB + B/D throw is great too... Geese is pretty terrible combo wise. I guess they had to do it after his sick corner game in NGBC. His only super cancel is out of all his counters, and evil shadow smasher (HCB + C) and it has to be out of the first hit. At least his dream cancel is sweet. Plus a uber raising storm as a LDM? Thumbs up from me! Mr. Big got beatdown by the big nerf stick. He's still fun to use, but his super cancel is just as useless as Geese's. I think they gave his grab LDM priority here. If it had the same priority as it had in NGBC, then I would toss him in the usless bin department. ![]() Ex Kyo. God tier in arranged mode, still high tier in arcade mode. Mr. jugglemania. His LDM also does WAY too much damage concidering he gets MAX mode after the taunt. Momoko is not bad. She has a great corner game, and some really good overheads. Plus her dream cancel is out of a grab DM, and does WTF damage. Shen Woo is THE man in this game. Sure he isnt god tier, but IMO he's damn well on the top 5! His LDM no longer has ANY weaknesses. Back in 2K3 his LDM made him dizzy VERY easily, but that's completely gone. If the actual Aura connects then watch the opponent cry from the damage it does. (For fun go to training mode, and have Shen vs Kula. Hit her with just the aura of the LDM then a QCFx2 + C DM. Boom she's dead from 2 hits xD) He has a invincibility frame on start up. He also has the sickest dream cancel combo out of anyone. (4 Stocks and 2 Skill Points needed) s.C, F + B, QCF + C XX QCF x2 + D XX (on third hit) C,A,B,C, s.C, F + B, QCF x2 + C. Sure it's throwing all your eggs in one basket, but it pretty much leaves your opponent at 5% health from a full bar. Terry is different because this is his Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves version. I guess even though SNK said they wanted to keep the universes seperate (since Geese is still alive in KOF) they still said why the hell not just keep the MOTW timeline. It started in KOF 2K3 when they brought over Gato, and Tizoc from MOTW, and now they added B Jenet. ( which is why those three are now the Garou MOTW team ) Either way, this Terry still does crazy damage, can cancel power dunk for juggle combos, and has the ultimate anti air move with his LDM. Even if his Buster Wolf is gimped in this game, he's still DAMN strong. Ozwald is NOT a Gambit rip off. Only his LDM is like the Royal Flush from the vs games. He has some damn cool moves though, and one of my favorite fighting stances. Gai has some DAMN good music that I wish was in the arcade version Magaki is NOT from Kizuna Tag Encounter, but they do have Jyazu (last boss) and Hyate(SP?) (dude with boomerang) as mid bosses in this game. Hyate(SP?) comes with a damn good remix of his song from savage reign, A.K.A the skyscraper song from Kizuna. Also Magaki is not really impossible. Like most/all KOF "impossible" bosses, he has a stupid AI glitch that you can abuse. A lot of people like to knock him down, then run at him to bait his stupid purple forcefield move, and roll to his back, and unleash any BnB combo they can think of. You'll get the hang of it. The Agent team's theme (Vanessa, Mary, Ramon) is the best in the game IMO. There are a few other ones that are good (Garou Team, KIS Team) but this one is just too damn slick. I picked up a OST from some random torrent I found a while back. It doesn't have any of the new PS2 songs though, but if I have a song someone wants, I can try to upload it somewhere for your hearing pleasure. Got some possible future song of the week nominations in here too. ![]() So that's all. A lot to read, but I felt like typing a lot. I'm a damn hardcore SNK/KOF fanbitch so yeah. Don't forget about Oswald's version of the Moonslasher though. (HCB x2 + A/C) The DM you mentioned seems to be only semi useful for combos, and dream cancel.
Kasumi's QCB + C series is meant to be used in combos. Mainly s.C, F + A, QCB + C, etc.... You can also use QCB + D after the third hit for a HUGE fake out, and go right for the grab DM. (HCB x2 + C) Oh, if you want one useful thing for Malin. If you have 4 stocks, and you connect with your LDM, and the opponent doesn't safe roll out of it, you can hit another one while they're on the floor for a instant kill from full health. Her BnB does pretty decent damage too. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Well she has a grab DM, that sliding punch goes under A LOT of moves, and grabs, she has good damage on her BnB combos. I don't think she's TOTALLY useless, but certainly not someone I would use seriously.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Nope, it runs perfectly fine. Seems you got a very bad copy there, because I also have a copy that works just as good.
