I bought Braid after assurance from a friend whose opinion I respect that the rest of the game wouldn't be anything like the first world and would actually be interesting. It's really a great game, but I don't understand why put the first world as the trial version, it is by far the worst way to demonstrate the game's unique twist.
As for the pricing issue--the way I see it, if it was a PSP game it would be cheap. I just don't think it's a big deal paying a few dollars extra for it. On the other hand, there certainly isn't anything extra to make it worth the 5 extra dollars, if you compare it to other XBLA titles. It's still basically a good game for a decent price. (Of course, the only game I actually play is Geo Wars 2.) Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Well, the game did always have that alternative control method with the D-pad... Since you'd both be crippled in that sense, it might work out anyway. I don't know if it'd be as fun though, the directness of the controls on the DS was a major selling point to the game for me. Still, looking forward to it! I also prefer Meteos over Lumines, though they're both fantastic games.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I was able to avoid buying the game in the first place, but local multiplayer seems to work, so I am still a little tempted. I don't have a Gold account anyway so I wouldn't be playing it online, I kinda just don't want to buy a broken game out of principle. Meanwhile, anyone here tried out Shred Nebula? I recommend it (if you like Asteroids anyway). EDIT: Just read about the save issues with Castle Crashers. No thanks! This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
