Wow, I didn't even know those things existed.

My opinion is that you should get a PSP with custom firmware. NES, SNES, Genesis, even some N64 titles, but I guess it should be played on a TV. Anyways, if you can afford it you should give it a try.
Yeah, a PSP is a good idea for this. Or a Wii if you don't like portables.
Both of you schmucks are missing the point. If he wanted to play an emulator, he'd toss them on his computer. An SNES isn't portable. He wants the actual experience, you know, that thing that most of us who played these games as kids still want. Sure, I could load my PSP up with SNES games, or I could own the hardcopy and play it the way it was meant to be played.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

John Mayer just asked me, personally, through an assistant, to sing backup on his new CD.

Most emulators like Snes9x give the same experience, and even upgrade the appearance of the games. A Wii isn't portable but you can download Virtual Console games for it, games which are 480p compatible and won't look like shit on HDTVs (re: real SNES games). I've purchased one myself, and now I'm going to have to use it on my CRT because otherwise I'm stuck with poor upscaling.

It's nice to own the original game, though. I recently did that with Lufia II, thing is, most people won't bothre when you can get better quality for free.
I imagine those people wouldn't be asking about getting an SNES console. He's on the internet, on a GAMING FORUM, I imagine the young man knows about roms.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
