Getting rid of dark circles under eyes

I've had dark circles under my eyes for a long time, probably because of lack of sleep (just can't get myself to sleep at regular times), but anyways I figured there must be something I can do to get rid of them or at least mask away them discreetly. So, I need to know of if there's any good solutions to this, preferably something that doesn't involve lots of makeup I know, primarily I should be fixing my sleep problem, but I've tried lots of times already without success.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Okay, I'm Swedish so I'm not quite sure what pile cream is/translates to. Could someone explain to me what it is?

Oh sounds nasty to have to put that stuff under your eyes I dunno if I'll do just that, but I found a great site with some info and a few home remedies that I'll be trying out.

I really will be trying to get more sleep from now on too as it will probably only do me good.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
