This game is good news, regardless if I don't really dig the aesthetic. And it is doing new things, it's making good on the promise of quality.

If you love Fable 1 for the exact same reasons as you stated above, I'm gonna have to call bullshit

You can be an astrophysicist dreaming of space all day, the truth is that the astronauts are the guys who go up there and that's what this is about. Theory vs execution. It's clear who's good in theory and who's making it happen.

Fair enough, but without the astrophysicist dreaming up the idea of space, we wouldn't have the astronauts to go up there. Couple with the fact that astronauts typically have to be in physical condition,(come on, xbox =/= PS3 or xbox 360), some people just CAN'T go into space, but they can help with the idea by starting it along.
Call it just bitterness on my end, and I do apologize for it. Yeah, I'm a fanboy of breakdown, and I can't believe that I stood out so much so long ago for you to remember :P. I just would HATE for people to call Mirror Edge a 'first of it's kind' when all it did is improve on an idea.

Dude, Breakdown was literally wasted potential, you can talk about the cool moments all day, but there aren't very many souls out there (myself included) who would want to suffer through it again. And that's for a very good reason. This game isn't "stealing" from anyone.

You called my bluff on me being a fanboy, but back then in a sea of overused first person shooter games that were just one thing after another, Breakdown was a breath of fresh air. Though whereas you see wasted potential, I saw it as a stepping stone of where first person perspective games could emerge.
Sadly, I must have been the only one that could easily master the sliding kick to an uppercut in that game.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
