Yeah, it's just like Domino said. Just about any drive can read both, but not all drives can write both, though most can these days. If you burn movies, then DVD-R have a tendency to be a little bit more compatible with relatively old players, but most of the time both kinds will read fine.
You should check on the front of your drive, there'll probably be a bunch of icons engraved on it telling you what it can and can't read/write. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
