I don't really know what to think of this. Will other countries follow Frances trend? I doubt it. It may be good that other countries don't. We don't need more crazy bastards running around thinking they saw UFOs when they've had one too many.

I don't see why you think people who think they see something are "crazy bastards" when they think they see these things. 25% of them are Type D, according to the article - which means they have "very good data and credible witnesses."
Just because lunatics in the midwest constantly see light in the sky when they're drunk doesn't mean there genuinely AREN'T some strange lights floating up in the sky every now and then, witnessed by your average citizen.
We don't know everything about the universe. It's stupid to pretend we do.
I'm not saying they're necessarily UFOs/OVNIs, but it's silly to keep everything so secretive about it. I think France did the right thing - realeasing documents on what are pretty much benevolent incidents of maybe mistaken sightings or misunderstanding? HOW does that hurt anyone.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
