While that may seem like a sequel due to the release order, it's not in chronological order. The actual order would be Legend of Heroes IV: A Tear of Vermillion, Legend of Heroes V: A Cagesong of the Ocean, and then Legend of Heroes III: The White Witch. If anything, it's a sequel to A Cagesong of the Ocean.

They are however in the same world and timeline, since you can see characters from the previous game in the timeline in some of the incarnations of the series. I'm only going with information I can get in english, since I can't read japanese.
somehow.. i knew that already ^^;. But i did hear about a legend of heroes V back then. Didn't play it and thought it was a little so so til i played Tear of Vermillion. I hope all of them make it to psp. They are worth having.

Since games like this are coming out..Atlus (or red company) should make a new Thousand Arms game, the dating system was interesting

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Is anyone looking forward to Blade Dancer? It comes out July.

EDIT: The only release I can think of for this month is The Legend of Heroes 2 (psp). Is there anything else interesting? I plan to get Loh2.I've yet to play Tales of Eternia for the psp..

EDIT 2 : I got Y's for the psp. Anyone else? I didn't touch it yet so i want to know what everyone thinks. This is the first time im playing a Y's game.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

This is probably why i got the game for only 25 bucks. The loadings times are bad. The music (to me ) is great o.o;;... and so far, this main character doesn't talk for shit. Other than that , im kinda enjoying it. I'll just kill time with this when the following games come out.

Legend of Heroes 2
Blade Lancer (or Dancer -- whatever)
Spectral Souls.

I've got Blade Dancer pre-ordered and yeah, I am looking forward to it. The art looks cool and it reminds me of Kingdom of Paradise (which I thoroughly enjoyed).

If you haven't played it yet, try playing Field Commander. Fantastic game, more than comparable to Advance Wars (according to the reviewers, at least). Also, my boss said that Astonishia Story looks really good, which I might go check out.

The Ys: Ark of Napishtim for the PS2 doesn't look quite as good as it does on the PSP, but for good reason -- the PS2 Ys uses 3D models, whereas the PSP version goes back to sprites, and they look much better. I really like the Ys game.
No problem.

Aside from Blade Dancer we also have Spectral Souls to look into. Saw a few screens. another must get ..

The Y's game is amazing. I never played the ps2 version but thanks for letting me know about the differences. The psp has weak loading times but the only thing that saves the game is the gameplay and the music is just amazing. Its definately worth the get since its only 25-30 bucks at any store. It's definately a reasonable price so no one can argue with it.

Field Commander -... MAYbe i'll get it. not sure

Kingdom of Paradise ? Its on clearance at my job so i'll probably get it. I thought it sucked cause of the lame cover art lol.

How's Generation of Chaos?

Yeah.. I already know about Tales of Eternia.. Im just looking for a place that sells cheaper.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Ignore Kingdom of Paradise's ungodly bad cover art (its got a reversible cover) and play the game. Graphically, it looks fantastic. The attack animations are smooth and the lighting effects are nice, especially when you're using Chi Arts. The voice acting is also surprisingly solid -- no real VA blunders are present. Some of the voices might get on your nerves, but the characters they're associated with would do the same with the mute button on.

I wish more people would play KoP. It really deserves a sequel, and it's got a fantastic story that would lend itself to another game quite easily.
reversible cover ?

Great..Then i'll cop' the game tomorrow. I swear i was getting ready to draw a picture with that character (only more badass and some detail) and use that as a cover art... o.o;

As long as the gameplay is good then i'll get it. It kinda reminded me of Legend of legaia for some odd reason.

How ya doing, buddy?

Ok. I finally ordered Tales of Eternia and Kingdom of Paradise. Hopefully i can play those games when I get the chance. Y's is fun ^^;.. The game is lacking a little in the storyline department >.<, but it's still a great game with horrible loading times.

heh, its almost the 20th and Legend of Heroes 2 is coming out soon. I heard it was going gold.. O.o?? I guess the LoH games will make a better impact on the psp than it did in the past?

Hey , Jazzflight. Did you have a problem with your Tales of Eternia copy ? I already went over some sites and it seems they had a problem with it too.

The game freezes when i defeated Volt. =/

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Thanks for info. Does anyone wanna help me in that , please? I don't think gamefaqs have that save but i also dont want to use anyone's stats thats over 45 or something. Im at level 38 or 39 I think. (yeah..and with that level, i was able to beat Volt lol).

@ Lacerta

I still need to pick up Legend of Heroes 2,KoP and VP. Since you say that there's been negativity on Blade Dancer, I should just turn that down and get LoH2.

As for Ys... I stopped playing the game where you gotta beat that big boss that throws all those stones at you. Other than that, the loading times are terrible, It takes almost 10-15 seconds just to get to the next part of the forest If you're lucky and want to get into a small house, It takes you 5-8 seconds @.@. The rest of the game is just fine with me. The music kicks ass in this game. So that prevents me from selling it back to the store.

Btw, Since i dont really care for homebrew or emulators. I upgraded to 2.80. There isn't much of a difference. Only a few things for the wifi and the location thingy.

It wouldn't be a bad copy at all ^^;. The port was just garbage and they never bothered to test the game. Y's (which i still play) has bad loading times even when you level up after one hit, it freezes up for 4-5 seconds and it goes back to normal.

If they plan to release more Ys games for the psp. They should at least check up on their mistake once in a while.

Well if you know Sony, Imagine the price of the "new psp". with the 8gb built in that damn thing. The only big deal will be the price. everything else is fine. I dont really need a 8gb stick anyway -.-.. just buy another 1gb for 30-45 bucks.

As long as you're able to perform the moves with the Analog stick, it is good enough for me. I only wish they had Order Sol, Leopaldon and ABA on it. More interesting and better. So far I haven't lost to any of my friends and they play well with the analog.

Im currently playing Blade Dancer and it isn't so bad. Anyone finish it yet?

It's funny b/c when I asked the EB games guy if any Final Fantasy games would be coming out for the PSP he told me that there wouldn't be any. Anyway, will there be more info released soon about this game or is too early to be talking in detail about it?

Speakin of Disgaea, There will be a psp port of the game sometime later. There's a site somewhere so look into that. The psp has a shitload of good games. I have at least 13 and some games do have replay value like the two remake Megaman games, Valkyrie Profile : Lenneth, etc. The same goes for fighting games. So far, I see about 40 used psps at gamestop. Not many people understand the system but oh well. Think wisely of what you're doing.

elixir : try lookin at psphacks. They have stuff that talks about 2.81 >.>;;. There should be some good stuff for 2.71.

Looks like we got some..."good" news from Konami. For those who didn't want to get the game cause of the loading times.

Furthermore, Konami is adding a map event known as Sealed Cave. Inside the cave nine minigames are waiting to be completed. The development team has also included various modes, such as time trial. In this trial mode, players have to play through the mini games as quickly as possible. Fast players will be rewarded with special items.
If the loading times are good then I'll cop' the damn game. It should be worth it and definately cheap to buy since they completely flopped with the other psp version.

I was only talking about the loading times. They said they added some new minigames. I'll admit, I wasn't all that disappointed with the loading times. I enjoyed playing the game to its fullest. The Ys games are definately new to me starting with this one. That's all. If the loading times are better. I might just play through the whole game twice. Once again, I still liked the game ;p.

If you are careful and not the button-masher type then it should be fine. I had mine for 1 year and 3 months and it still works fine. You should open it up and see if there is any dust between itself. The L button that is. Psp's can easily catch dust so be on the look out.

I may want to do that dev hook with my other psp sometime soon. There's some 2d fighting game called Spectral (force or something) vs Generation (of chaos). Those are those two strategy rpg games that were for psp or something. Saw some vids and Im interested in it.

As for the screen covers. That looks cool and all but I still have the one stuck to my screen for almost a year or two and no prints or hairlines on it..yet.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

They are horrible. Utter trash. Long load times (between each action), laggy gameplay, and GoC has the most confusing interface I've ever seen in any game, ever.

I can't warn you enough not to get these games. They are not fun. I REPEAT, NOT FUN.

Don't worry. The reviews and screenshots are more than enough to not make me buy them ;p.

Originally Spectral vs Generation came out for ps2. There's a torrent for the ps2 version but no seeds =/. As long as the psp version have analog compatability that's good enough.

I just got into this devhook thing. It's all complicated shit. There's one for 3.01 and Sony has released another (minor) update.

@TheXeno - The graphics were toned down a bit. Not as much to get you turned off. The gameplay is still there. It's fun , more combo bs. Also , you dont need to unlock anything since there is no storyline like the original GGXX game for ps2. GG Judgement is fun though. Too bad There is nothing much to unlock. I though ABA or Order Sol would be in it.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
