I live in the south and I can confirm that if you live down here and do not have an air conditioner, then you will most definitely not shut yourself in a room with a computer and spend more than 20 minutes with it turned on. I mean I have AC and I still don't like to spend much time on my upstairs PC because the CRT monitor heats up the room {and heat rises so it is always slightly warmer upstairs than downstairs where I spend most of my time}.
