Eh, it's why I do the smart thing and stay the HELL away from those expensive places like Santa Monica, Hollywood and Rodeo Drive, etc. etc. etc. (Why in Salem's hell would I want to spend 30 minutes on the 405N sitting there on a 10 mile drive and then sit there for another 20 minutes trying to get off the 10 (oh god), just to spend a fuckload of money and waste gas and endanger my life being in proximity of the likes of Lindsey Lohan and Paris Hilton, is beyond me.)
I live in very safe, Boring Sub-urbs Torrance. Our Police force is ANAL as fuck so it helps keep all the race-maniacs and those rice-burner crazed-out car owners away too.
