It looks like they're coming out with a new BF game too soon. I've only got BF2 for several months now, and I've -just- started weekly gaming sessions with the GFFers here. BF2142 sounds all well and good, but I'm still having loads of fun with BF2, despite the problems people talk about. There's no reason to get 2142 right away.
I'm still waiting for another BF2 expansion with urban maps to whet my appetite :D Jam it back in, in the dark.
