I'd probably go the complete oposite route and find/make a difficult costume and head out as The Tick.
Somehow 'joke' superheroes seem like they'd be more fun. You could try going for Kato's costume, it's more or less what those goons from Kill Bill are based on, and it's superhero (sidekick) related. Should be easy. How ya doing, buddy?
