It was George Harrison who said "Mario will never beat up hookers" at the Nintendo E3 Press Conference in 2003. I know because I was there. I believe he was talking about several letters he got from morons who want Super Mario to be bloody and swear-filled so they can feel better about themselves or something. Or something like that.
How anybody can interpret that to mean Nintendo didn't want GTA is up for debate, but that debate would probably be focused on fact-checking and reading comprehension. Jam it back in, in the dark.  |
