Jooli's Song - Definitely one of the better selections. The only problem I have with it is the pacing of it, which is a tad too sluggish.
Battle - YES! This track is such an audio cartoon! Reminds me of musical style of old NES capcom games (Rescue Rangers?). To a distance - This track could be inserted into Top Gun and nobody would know the difference. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing , but it's not a good thing either ![]() pathetic battle arrange "distortion of space" - Sometimes the good ol' bVI-bVII-I progression can be just plain delicious when cooked right, but this one tastes really tired, like the musical equivalent of instant Kraft dinner. Ork - Awesome. Not for anything in particular, just as a whole. I'm to undertand that this song is spun off of an old Amiga track? If so, I wouldn't mind hearing it if someone doesn't mind posting it. Emotional Theme - This one was alrite, but I thought the Celtic dance section was kinda pointless. New Quack City - That opening guitar riff got annoying pretty fast! But the overall funkiness of the track and the echoing horn swells made up for it. Route 99 - Pretty good track, just not good enough to beat the other 3 picks. The verdict: 3 pts - Gokinjo Bouken Tai (Game Rip) - Battle 2 pts - Immortal 3 - Ork 1 pts - The Gods Awaken - Jooli's Song Jam it back in, in the dark. |
