I'd rather like to see this film myself, if not just for the one kid who doesn't talk because of Friedrich Nietzsche. It's that kind of weird humor that I really enjoy, and if it's as sweet as you people say it is, I've been waiting all year for something that makes me feel good about myself. Seriously. Why does everything "great" have to also be "super depressing"? I'm looking at you, Hemmingway.

Er, um, all I mean to say is that it looks like a really nice film, and I'd like to see it.

How ya doing, buddy?

Fourth'd or so.

I just returned from seeing this with a friend, and I loved it. It was irreverent, which is something that I prize highly in comedic efforts, and I find that people either aren't doing irreverent enough or doing it right these days. It was surprisingly dark when it wanted to be, but surprisingly funny when it wanted to be - the scene where she dedicates the performance was perfect, and the oft-repeated beat-up van gag didn't get old. All around, a wonderful film that tosses you back and forth between drama and madcap hilarity in a unique look at a roadtrip gone horribly wrong.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Well, the bus scenes were some of the best moments of the film, so don't feel like an idiot. This film is well worth your time - watch it as soon as it comes out. Bring friends. Enjoy yourselves more than at any other movie this year so far. So many big movies this year tried too hard to be too much, but this movie really works. It's funny, it's dark, and it's very human, but it doesn't try to overwhelm you or be too epic or too grand, like Pirates 2, X-Men 3, King Kong, etc.

How ya doing, buddy?
