CROSS HERMIT SOUNDTRACK - Cross Hermit I like the initial sound of this one--minimalistic, desolate piano with vocals and synths. The second half of the song is almost 100% different--so much so that it's jarring--and while it's not bad (in fact, it's quite good), it's also a lot more standard.

eXceed 3rd -JADE PENETRATE- (Game Rip) - FLY UP A hyperactive synth track in the vein of a hundred thousand others. It's competent, but doesn't bring anything new to the table and winds up sounding very familiar.

Excite Truck (Game Rip) - Nebula This sounds about how you'd expect a racing track to sound, with plenty of percussive and guitar noise but not a lot of substance. Some of the snarling guitar passages are worth a second look, but that's about all.

Guxt (Game Rip) - Stage 5 Cross, eXceed, Excite, Guxt...a definite X theme going on this week! This is a pretty good chiptune, with some nice drive to it.

In the wake of Doshin, the GIANT - All Along the Bardo Island Laid-back Latin-style acoustics. I don't generally go in for this sort of thing, but it's okay as background music for when the cabana boy brings more towels out.

POPOROGUE Original Soundtrack - The Magic of the Moon, Majestic Dream - For Those Who Chase Dreams Mediocre J-Pop. I almost wish it were horrible enough to rant against, but instead it's just...there.

Red Stone Original Soundtrack - -Tower- Dancing Gear The fragmented opening was pretty neat, an interesting spin on the usual old trance elements. Sadly, the track sinks into the usual well-worn groove soon after.

Ultima Online (Game Rip) - Cove This shows its age and MIDI origins a bit. The overall sound is nice, but it doesn't really go anywhere.

The Point Spread
Cross Hermit - 3 pts.
Stage 5 - 2 pts.
Bardo Island - 1 pt.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
